What a controversial image isn’t it? That’s why I took it. The problems BP has caused to the Gulf and the rest of this country are endless. Many Americans, animals, and the land have been effected greatly by such a disaster. I feel like this photo pretty well sums up the entire problems that BP has caused, and it has a great impact on me. I have personally witnessed the problems in the Gulf in a recent trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Ships cluttered the ocean, workers clogged the beaches, tar balls littered the shore, and oil soaked the ocean species. One of the most depressing sights I have seen.
The photo was taken at f/8 @ 1/4000 ISO 1600 on a Canon Telephoto Lens 75-300@125mm. I had forgotten my ISO was set that high. Therefore the camera had to adjust the shutter speed to compensate for the high ISO (more sensitive to light).
